Indulging in alcoholic beverages over the holidays may be difficult to resist. As Tallahassee Democrat contributor Elise Oberliesen points out, it’s easy to lose count of the glasses of cocktails or wines you drain, especially when alcohol has lowered your inhibitions already. Some don’t even realize they’re binge drinking by the time they consume their fourth or fifth drink in two hours (Centers for Disease Control’s designations for women and men).
